Tech talk for nerds and newbies:

THIS WEBSITE is should be viewed on screens set to the measurement of 1024 x 768 pixels or higher. If your monitor is set to the older 800 x 600 standard, you will not see it at its best. On many browsers you can also obtain maximum screen real estate by pressing F-11. Also, your browser text size should be set at MEDIUM,  the usual default setting.

IF YOU FIND YOU  need to use a horizontal slider to see the right side of your screen on some pages, you may want to reset your display to 1024 pixels wide.

BE SURE THAT you see an orange and peach navigation column on the left side of this screen. (Click here only if it is not there.) There should be more than 20 blue hyperlinks in five categories in that frame. (To see approximately what the home page is supposed to look like, click here.)

THIS SITE WORKS BEST on Internet Explorer. Also reasonable are Firefox, Netscape, and Opera. But there are often difficulties using Safari or the American Online browser. If you need to sign on the net by using AOL, that's fine. Then minimize the AOL browser and use one of the other browsers.

IF YOU FEEL YOU MUST use AOL to browse with, click on AOL's own square "maximize" button on the right side of the Current Window (Welcome) Bar Otherwise you may have trouble with scrolling. (Don't confuse that with the square at the very top of the screen.)

IF YOU WANT to return to a previous page and the “back” button is grayed out, use the X -- “close” box -- up in the corner for that.

IF YOU USE Pop-Up Stopper or a similar program, a few of the links on this site may not show up. If something doesn't work, hold down the control or shift key while clicking. Or just disable your anti-pop-up program for awhile (normally by double-clicking on its icon).

MANY WEBSITES are too complex, including  those that have been professionally designed. This is a relatively large site for an individual operation. Nevertheless, I have tried to make it easy to navigate. Please tell me of any problems.
