These guides began in 1976 with my prize-winning Maverick Guide to Hawaii, and were soon followed by my Maverick Guide to Australia, and my Maverick Guide to New Zealand. Following a long run, all three are now out of print, and there are currently no plans to revise and reissue these titles. The publisher -- Pelican Publishing -- has not asked me for more revisions, and I have no plans to do any.
